Following their commission by the DfE to undertake a design and research study in toilets in secondary schools, Walters and Cohen designed two prototype toilets incorporating the findings of the study. The toilets were delivered using Standard Specifications, Layouts and Dimensions (SSLD) for Toilets in Schools and clearly go a long way towards meeting the design objective to provide toilets that are fitted out to “a high standard of quality and aesthetic to encourage pupil respect and pride in toilets, hopefully discouraging vandalism”.

Bobrick supplied a range of accessories including the preferred sheet type toilet tissue dispensers and (concealed) cartridge soap dispensers and warm air hand dryers to both Bower Park School and Brittons School.
